WMSPA HONORARY LIFE MEMBERS GUIDELINES

Guidelines Set This Date: November 5, 2007 (Semi-annual meeting)

 

1) Honorary ife members are or have been active members of the WMSPA. They must meet the qualifications and guidelines sent forth by the WMSPA Life Members Committee.

 

2) Active meaning more than just attending meetings. A life member shall be recognized by the effort he/she has shown in the WMSPA, such as paid membership yearly (2points per year), being an officer (5 points per year), delegate (3 points per year), working at the state fair in WMSPA booth (2 points per year), being on committees (2 points per committee per year), participating in activities of the WMSPA (2 points per activity per year), attending the National Convention (2 points per year) and also being 65 years of age or older.

 

3) Honorary Life Members Award to be given to both Mr. and Mrs. qualifying member per committee decision. Not more than two awards will be given in one year, with the exception of 2008 because of giving deceased members family their award. A plaque plus free membership to the WMSPA will be given to those qualifying.

 

4) There will also be a Honorary Life Membership plaque with all of the names imprinted on it to be kept with the association. This will also contain persons who are deceased before this committee was formed, such as Adin Reynolds, Lynn Reynolds, and John Polak. Chris Hauge’s name will also be added as he is already a Life Member.

 

5) New names to be considered should be given to committee members for review by November 1st of each year. Honorary Life member nominations will be announced at annual meeting of the WMSPA and awarded their plaque and free membership from that day forward.

 

6) Honorary Life Membership Committee is to meet at least once per year to update guidelines and any other important matters that may come before them.
