Alice's proclamation pronouncing this the first tap and that mid-March through mid-April is Maple Month.

Scheduled events: Start time is 9:30 A.M. Alice in Dairyland will be there from 9:30 - 11:00 A.M. She will commence with the first tree tap at 10 A.M. Alice will also read the proclamation from the Governor stating that March 15 - April 15 is Maple Month. There will be a pancake breakfast along with this event.
