Phelps Maple Syrup Fest is centered on the grounds of the Phelps school, where you can watch tree-tapping demonstrations and find your favorite maple treats at the Maple Café. Take a driving tour or guided bus tour of local sugar bushes to see where this popular treat originates and how sap becomes maple syrup. With kid’s games and activities, a wonderful arts and crafts show with over 70 vendors, maple syrup and honey displays, and a maple syrup contest judged by local celebrities, this Phelps event is perfect for all ages! The day’s activities and sugar bush tours are free of charge for all attendees. A portion of the proceeds from Maple Syrup Fest will benefit area high school graduates through continuing education scholarships.

Festival includes maple syrup judging, a pancake breakfast featuring maple syrup, crafters/vendors displayed, children’s activities including a children’s parade with floats using the theme -“Wisconsin Maple Magic”, antique tractor/machinery display, chain saw carving, food & refreshments served all day & much more.

WMSPA Items for Sale

Ag Tourism signs are now available for purchase for $70 for members and $90 for non-members. The signs are 24″ X 48″ and are made from .063 aluminum.

In 2013 Wisconsin Act 269 was amended to limit civil liability for injury to or the death of an individual who is participating in an agricultural tourism activity. The agricultural tourism provider must post and maintain in a clearly visible location at each entrance to the property where the activity takes place or at the location of each activity, a sign that contains the following notice in black lettering, each letter a minimum of one inch in height, on a white background. Limit your liability by posting this sign. The law states that the exemption would not apply if a sign is not posted. See Act 269 for complete verbiage

Maple Syrup Nutritional Labels If any member is in need of NUTRITION LABELS, they’re currently available in clear and white. The cost for white is $1.50 (per 100), the cost for clear is $2.50 (per 100) and are available in quart, pint, 3/4 pint, 1/2 pint, and universal. They can be purchased at WMSPA Events and from your local dealers – present your membership card at purchase..
